STUDENTS are setting off for Paris today to take part in a debate on Europe.
The nine students, from Prior Pursglove College, Guisborough, east Cleveland, will take part in a conference, called Your Future in Europe, which is designed to inspire young people to think about European issues.
Tom Griffith, 18, from Stokesley, North Yorkshire, who will be taking part in the debate, is a confirmed Europhile and will be returning to France next month to take part in work experience through the Acorn Educational Exchange programme.
"I am really looking forward to the visit," he said. "I have always wanted to go to Paris and I can practise my French and indulge my interest in politics as well."
