Darlington Albion: The Under-14s were away against Whitby, and put in a excellent performance, controlling the majority of the first half, only allowing Whitby to score from the penalty spot.
Just before half time Chris Binks levelled the score going in to the break 1-1.
Five minutes into the second half saw Luke Blaser score a long range shot, soon followed by another long range free kick from Luke Ward, with Kev Sung showing persistence in front of the goal scoring his first of two, the second from the penalty spot, closely followed by another long range shot from Matthew Phillips. Final score was Whitby 1, Albion 6.
An excellent performance from the whole team making it impossible to choose a man of thematch.
The Under-12s finally got themselves a win this year after knocking out TSC in the cup. TSC was going to be a tough game and a win was not expected.
Prior to this game Albion had lost 6-1 to Richmond then a shock 5-1 defeat against Thirsk, so confidence was at a rock bottom. Albion start the game off well and matched TSC all over the pitch.
As the game went on Albion made the better challenges and were first to most balls and looked the better side. Both sides had chances to take the lead in the first half but it stayed 0-0.
It was in the start of the second half when a rare defensive error allowed TSC to take the lead. Albion came back fighting hard and after Lee Barnes missed out on 2 chances, it was new boy David Waters who got the equaliser after some brilliant skill from him inside the box. Albion were now looking in full control and should have scored 2 or 3 more. But full time was 1-1.
Extra time was played and scores stayed the same so it went on to penalties. Albion won 4-3 on penalties after TSC skyed one and James Griffith saved on. Penalty scorers were David Waters, Dale McPherson, Ryan Turbutt and James Brown. Man of the match was Lee Barnes.

Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre
The Under-9s, sponsored by Nationwide Building Society, were against Brinkburn and continued their challenge for the championship with an excellent win. A goal in each half from Gowan and Ketley secured the points with a 2-0 victory and a fine defensive performance from Thomas Noble earned him man of the match.
The Under-10s played South Bank and they continued to improve, as they get stronger in their first season of competitive football but were beaten 2-0. An outstanding goal keeping performance by Ryan Mundell earned him the man of the match.
The Under-11s, sponsored by TSM sport, played against Stockton Rangers and in marvelous team effort resulted in a 9-0 win. Goals from Bennett (4), Miller (2), Robinson, McDonald and Hawes secured the win and good defensive work throughout the game gave Anthony McDonald the man of the match award.
The Under-12s, sponsored by Custom Design, took on Billingham Town and a good defensive display kept the score to 1-0 for most of the match but two late goals finished the game 3-0 to the visitors. The man of the match was shared between Ryan Durr and Sam Hirst.
The Under-14s, sponsored by TWR Trade Glass, played Brotton St Peters and despite man of the match performances from goalkeeper Tim Buist and midfielder David Swindell the lads came away with a 3-0 defeat.
With half the season over the Under-16s, sponsored by CD Brammall, are battling for the championship and they took on TIBS. An excellent first half team performance produced goals from Gray, Miller and Roscher to give a 3-0 lead. Roscher added his second, minutes into the second half, before three goals were gifted to the opposition. A fine individual goal by Sheppherd, made the score 5-3 and secured the points. David Neale assisted four of the five goals and with a strong 80 minute display was awarded man of the match.
Bishop Auckland Barrington Wanderers
Barrington Wanderers Under-16s played away to Chester Athletic Blues and came away sharing the points with a 1-1 result. Their was little to separate the two teams with both sets of defences playing well.
Chester went ahead first but Barrington kept battling and were unlucky not to take all three points as towards the end of the second half they were clearly the better side but Chester kept taking the pressure.
David Spence scoring the goal from a corner when he managed to just get a toe to the ball and put it past the keeper. Dale Middleton was named man of the match.
Spennymoor Boys
Spennymoor moved back to the top of RF Youth League Division One with an outstanding 4-2 away victory against Redby Whites. Spennymoor, who had lost 4-3 to Redby earlier in the season produced their best display of the season so far.
After ten minutes Spennymoor found themselves two goals down, however a change in formation and attitude improved things as the first half continued. Jason White got one back five minutes before the break following a lovely through-ball from Jordon Archer. In the second half Spennymoor continued to press forward, Jason White rounded the keeper following another Archer pass.
Todd Franey then scored two goals in three minutes with a 20-yard lob and a 25-yard volley to complete the comeback. Man of the match was Michael Gibson who had to play the final 20 minutes as an emergency right back.
Ferryhill Town Youth
The Ferryhill Under-10s played away to Greatham FC B and won 2-1. Greatham took the lead in the last five minutes of the first half. Just before the half time whistle Matthew Harker found the back of the net to equalise.
Some lovely football was seen in the second half, and with a great team effort Matthew put away his second of the match. The man of the match went to Matthew Harker.
