TALENTED young rugby player Patrick Crewe, a year eight student at Red House School in Norton, is one of only four boys selected to join the Newcastle Falcons RUFC development squad.
The scrum half, who lives at Hurworth, has been training with the Falcons for the past year.
PE staff at Red House recognised his talent and when the Zurich Premiership club asked every school in the North East to nominate a year seven pupil they felt had outstanding potential, Patrick was the obvious choice.
Boys nominated by their school were invited to train with the Falcons for a year, during which time they were assessed by John Fletcher, head of the development squad.
Patrick's selection for the squad moves him one step closer to his dream of playing rugby professionally
