Annandale Hotel v Lingdale Utd: A crashed to a home defeat despite dominating for long periods.
Both sides attempted to play good football on a very heavy pitch. Dewing struck the bar after just two minutes and as Annandale continued to dominate a goalmouth scramble led to shots from Lewis, Booth and Fountain all being blocked. The game changed on 25 minutes when Whitehead took a quick free kick which deceived Farnadle in the Annandale goal to give the visitors the lead. The equaliser came when Booth broke clear, his shot was deflected to make it 1-1. With the home side pushing forward Lingdale broke clear, when Iseton stumbled in the box a penalty was awarded. Whitehead slotted home.
Gt Ayton v Staithes Ath
In the opening minutes Ayton were denied possession by a dominant Staithes, this dominance was rewarded in the fifth minute, a well flighted corner was met by Wood who headed past Long in the Ayton goal. Staithes continued to command the game, Long had to be at his best to punch a Gibson shot clear, then Toogoog made a diving headed clearance to deny Watson. Staithes' defence was well marshalled by Best and Theaker as Ayton's flying winger, Busby, began to put in some good crosses for Davey and Hyde. With Ayton starting to get a hold n the game the play switched from end to end. Long was forced into making some excellent saves, preventing the visitors from going further ahead. Towards the end of the half Ayton's endeavours were rewarded as a 25-yard pass from Grainge found Busby who beat two defenders before firing past keeper Moore. As Ayton began the second half well, Busby put Ayton into the lead after some good passing play from Cooper and Simpson. The introduction of Pennock to the Ayton midfield proved to be a match winning move, his ability to take on a defender and cross had the Staithes defence stretched. The best goal of the game came when Pennock danced his way past three Staithes defenders to cross perfectly for Davy to connect with a strong headed past Moore. A free kick was then neatly headed on by Pennock for Davy again to force home Ayton's fourth. Staithes had some good atteemptes on the Ayton goal Dale forced a good save from Longbefore the defence failed to clear and Watson was on hand to net a second for Staithes. Minutes later after some quick passing Pennock once again provide an inch perfect pass for Hyde to fire home and give Ayton a comfortable win.

Hinderwell were on top for the first 20 minutes of the second half but as the lLealholm defence held their line few chances were created.
