THE two surviving Consett Sunday League sides have been handed home draws in the semi-final of the competition.
Stateside came out of the hat first against Durham & District League outfit Witton Gilbert whose league counterparts Sherburn Lambton Arms find themselves at Leadgate Golden Lion.
Witton Gilbert booked their last four place with a crushing 12-1 win at Chopwell. Chris Lyons hit four of the goals and there were hat-tricks for John Rooney and Jimmy Slater while Matthew Rowley struck the home consolation goal.
The Lambton Arms hit Lanchester Social for six while goals from Andrew Thompson, David Thompson and John Dettmar saw the Golden Lion to a 3-0 win at the Cricketers.
Steve Nixon's strike was not enough for Stanley Central who were eased out 4-1 at home by Stateside who scored through Andrew Elliott, Lee Garfoot, Chris Connolly and Kevin Eglon
