POLICE in Stockton have received their latest tool in combating crime and disorder.
A police van equipped with closed circuit television (CCTV) has been joint-funded through the Community Safety Partnership.
The vehicle has been provided by the police and Stockton Borough Council have funded the CCTV equipment.
The van will be used to tackle anti-social behaviour and disorder with the aim of influencing people's behaviour by its presence, providing intelligence to tackle anti-social behaviour and evidence gathering.
Inspector Mick Williams, from Stockton police, said: "This partnership demonstrates the commitment of all to make Stockton a safe place to live and work."
