PREMIERSHIP soccer star Carl Cort was booked twice in one day -by traffic wardens.
The former Newcastle United striker has been fined by magistrates after he got two tickets within hours.
Cort, now at Premiership strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers, was not at Gosforth Magistrates' Court, in Newcastle, to hear the case.
The court heard how Cort was issued with his first parking ticket on July 12 last year while his car was parked outside his former apartment in Westgate Road, Newcastle.
Later that day, Cort was given another ticket for illegally parking outside Archibald Place, in the city.
Magistrates said it was hard to believe he could get two tickets in the same day.
They fined him £120 and ordered him to pay £90 costs.
Cort did not attend, despite an arrest warrant being issued for him when he missed an earlier hearing.
