Aileen Stebbings of Darlington Library is running workshops with Year 9 students, encouraging them to consider what makes good teenage literature. Years 7 and 8 are taking part in a readathon, raising money to help children with cancer.
The week culminates today, World Book Day, with a literature caf evening celebrating the work of students.
