Durham League Division One: HQ Engineering Hornets v Middlesbrough Steve Whitehead Joinery & Double Glazing Mavericks.
With the Hornets missing a number of vital players such as Dan Bailey, the home team were always going to find this game a little beyond them. The Hornets took the game to the league leaders throughout never falling more then a couple of baskets behind until the final ten minutes. Noticeable additions to the score from Anthony Robinson and Luke Thompson stretched the Mavericks who fought back with vital scores from Ian Viveash and Liam O'Donohue. The difference between the two team was the depth however as Middlesbrough brought Bryson and Hope into the game to provide strength in depth winning the contest for the Mavs 88-75.

Division Two
Shildon Lace Gold Strollers v Durham Saints
A closely fought game ended with Shildon taking the spoils after a first quarter in which the teams were deadlocked and a half in which the home team lead by one point. After Mal Ballard and Steve Patterson's efforts Shildon found a third capable scorer in Malcolm Turnbull who kept the score ticking over whilst Durham struggled with Colin Lishman and Chris Plummer being the only players with substantial point output. With both clubs scoring well and players from all sides contributing, the deadlock was not broken until the final two minutes at which point the game could have swung either way. Patterson and Ballard put the finishing touches to the game, putting Shildon out of reach at 74-69.

Division Three
Young Houghtonians v East Durham & Houghall Comm. College C
College kept pace with Young Houghtonians for as long as the first quarter, only for them then to find it difficult to score freely. Apart from a brief burst of scoring at the beginning of the second half, led by Antony Swallow, which saw College come within six points of their opponents the Young Houghtonians were always comfortably in control of this game. Led by the punishing scoring of Paul Carr and Colin Robinson Houghton were always a step ahead of the travelling College, taking the game 66-43.

Ladies Division
Durham Knights Ladies v Tyneside
The game between these two closely matched squads didn't fail to disappoint as Tyneside found their touch to come back into the game in the final minutes to win 46-44. Tyneside jumped out to a ten point lead after the first ten minutes when Durham's fouls kept the away side at the free-throw line. After that, Tamara Davies exploded into action with nine points as Durham allowed only four points, edging Durham closer to their opponents. Through Davies and Maguire, Durham were able to take the lead during the third quarter only for a resurgent Deirdre Hayes and Jenny James to nick the game away for Tyneside 46-44.
