LEADGATE Golden Lion remain bang on course to make a clean sweep of all the League's top domestic honours.
They got off on the perfect footing when lifting the First Division League Cup - the Harkness Trophy - with a crushing 5-0 win over Stateside.
Mark Turner set them on their way with a two-goal salvo with the others netted by Andrew Thompson, Daniel Craggs and David Thompson.
Added to that, the Golden Lion are firm favourites for the Championship which is hardly surprising after reaping maximum points from their opening nie fixtures.
The Lion are already through to the semi-finals of the Stanley Aged Miners Cup that will see them up against Chester Lambton Arms and also the Jack Grigg Memorial Trophy where they will face Stateside yet again.
A quarter-final date with Stanley Central is also awaiting the Lion in the Consett Charity Cup.
In Division Two, Burton House remain unbeaten after drawing ten of their 11 starts and drawing the other. However, a League and Cup double is out of the question having lost out in the final of the latter in a penalty shootout against Shaftoes.
Swalwell Burgoynnes are flying in Division Three with 16 wins out of 17 and they are also unbeaten having shared the spoils in their other start though they are still being pushed all of the way by Stanley Ball Alley.
