Crook Individual League
Lee Cullinan recorded his first win of the new season with a surprise odd point success over Darren Tinkler. Tinkler took the first frame with confidence but in the second he cannoned into the black and sent it into the pocket. In the decider Cullinan had control of the pockets from a very early stage and manoeuvred his way through to victory.
This reversal did not upset Tinkler, who later went back to the table to take on newcomer, Stuart Hall and showed his experience by going through to a whitewash victory. However Hall showed signs that, when he settles to the intense competition, he will be taking points from other players.
David Haygarth recovered from an earlier defeat and pulled out all the stops to beat Aaron Cowan in all three frames. This victory moved Haygarth to the top of the table, where he leads David Stephenson, Les Scott, David Craggs and Darren Tinkler by two points.
Results: Darren Tinkler 1 Lee Cullinan 2; David Haygarth 3 Aaron Cowan 0; Stuart Hall 0 Darren Tinkler 3; Doug Bowey 2 Stephen Heyes 1; Richard Walker 2 Neil Campbell 1; Les Scott 2 Lee Scott 1; David Stephenson 3 Aaron Cowan 0.
