A RETAIL park is offering a shopping experience with a French flavour.
Until Sunday, the malls at the shopping outlet at Dalton Park, near Murton, will be lined with stalls offering a range of French goods.
Market vendors from across the Channel will be selling cheeses, hams, confits, pates, olives and strings of fragrant garlic.
There will also be freshly baked breads and cakes, along with cooked crepes, Provencal speciality dishes and bon bons.
To wash it all down, there is a selection of fine wines available for sale, from Bordeaux to Sauvignons and Muscadets.
Stalls are also selling perfumes, soaps, and lingerie.
The market is also providing an opportunity for local school children to come along and try out their French language skills with the stallholders.
Heather Scott, Dalton Park's marketing manager, said: "We want our customers to enjoy their day with us and the French Market is part of a series of fabulous events we have lined up for 2004.''
