AN animal charity needs to find homes for three cats and a dog.
The animals are being cared for by the National Animal Sanctuary Support League, in Whitton, near Darlington.
Asta, four, is a good natured German shepherd bitch, accustomed to being around other animals. She would suit someone with an active lifestyle.
Pauline Wilson, of the support league, said: "She does need a fair bit of exercise because she's a young, fit dog, but she is one of the nicest natured dogs we've ever had."
Treasure, an eight-year-old tortoiseshell cat, needs a home on her own, with no children or other animals.
Mrs Wilson said: "She's not too keen on children, but she is a very nice cat."
The two remaining cats are firm friends. Gremlin, a five-month-old tortoiseshell, and six-month-old Lucy, a black cat, could remain together.
Mrs Wilson said: "They will separate, but it would be nice if we could home them together.
"They are just two nice cats that would fit into any kind of environment and would make really nice family pets."
Anyone who would like to re-home any of the animals should contact the support league on (01325) 321855, or 07748 268822.
