REAL ale enthusiasts raised their glasses to mark the tenth anniversary of a family-run brewery at the weekend.
A mini-beer festival at the Woodman Inn, Gilesgate, Durham, attracted a full house as revellers savoured the products of Durham Brewery.
The event was organised by licencees Paula and Peter Seed, who have been at the pub for ten months.
Mr Seed said: "We decided to put on the festival for the brewery who have been helpful and supportive.
"We are an S & N franchise, but are not tied. The pub stocks 14 different ales from Durham Brewery, with several on tap at any one time."
Husband and wife Steve and Christine Gibb gave up their music teaching jobs to open the Durham Brewery in 1994.
Ten years on, their distinctive products are among the favoured drinks of real ale-lovers.
The mini-festival featured a brew made in Mr Seed's honour, called Peter's Golden Chopper.
Other beers produced at the Bowburn brewery include White Magic, Bede's Gold, White Amarillo, Bonny Lass, Green Goddess, Frostbite, Black Abbott, and Magus.
Mr Seed said: "It was resounding success. We did not run out of ale. Even if we had, we are only a few miles from the brewery."
