CONCERNS are growing for a pensioner who has been missing for more than a week.
Michael Ivers, 65, has not been seen since February 29. Mr Ivers, who lives in the Grange Road area of Middlesbrough, has a number of regular haunts.
They include his local paper shop and the Laurel pub, on the outskirts of the town centre, where he is known as Dublin Mick because of his Irish heritage.
Police do not believe Mr Ives has any family in the area, although he has many friends who say they have not seen him for a few days.
Mr Ives is described as white, 5ft 4in tall and slim. He is bald but for mousy coloured hair around the sides of his head.
When last seen, Mr Ives was wearing a blue suit with a blue stripe in the material.
He usually carries a blue holdall type bag with him.
There were unconfirmed sightings of him on Monday and Tuesday last week.
However, police would like Mr Ives to get in touch with any police station or officer to let them know that he is alright.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Middlesbrough police on (01642) 303126.
