A world class sportsman put his reputation on the line to raise funds for charity, at the White Rose Bowling Club, Catterick Garrison.
Darts' world number two, Kevin 'The Artist' Painter challenged contenders to games of 701. Each had an opportunity to win a prize for chalking up the highest average score.
The event raised more than £400 for the special care baby unit at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton.
A raffle was also held to boost the fund-raising total with darts commentator Russ 'The Voice' Bray calling both the scores and the numbers of the winning raffle tickets.
The evening was organised by local mum Janie Molyneux, whose daughter, Sheridan, who celebrated her seventh birthday last Wednesday, is a former patient of the special care baby unit.
The family met Kevin on holiday in Skegness last year and were thrilled when he agreed to a charity match.
Mrs Molyneux said we want to say a huge thank you to Kevin and his crew, the White Rose Club, all the staff at the hospital and to everyone who has contributed in any way.
