SPECTACULAR displays of orchids were on show over the weekend attracting hundreds of enthusiasts.
Members of the Darlington and District Orchid Society staged their third annual Orchid Show, with breath-taking floral arrangements and advice from specialists.
The show featured many species of orchid, including the popular Phalaemotsif, or Moth Orchid, and the more unusual Cymbidium, with its large spikes and colourful flowers. Staged at the White Horse Hotel in Darlington, displays were created by about 20 of the 85 society members.
Vice-chairman Tom Watson said: "It was a fabulous weekend and the displays were dazzling."
