SOME of Walt Disney's favourite characters brightened up the day for primary school children as they celebrated World Book Day.
Snowhite, Cinderella and Belle from Beauty and the Beast were joined by Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear and a Dalmation puppy at the event at Tow Law Millennium Primary School last week.
Pupils and teachers dressed as their favourite characters for a day of fun to show the children just how enjoyable reading can be.
The youngsters were able to buy books with tokens given to them to celebrate World Book Day and took part in a host of activities throughout the day.
Headteacher Lisa Jackson said: "It was an excellent day. The majority of children at the school dressed up and took part. A lot of the costumes were hand made. The parents did a fantastic job and all of the children thoroughly enjoyed the day.''
