ORGANISERS of the first North and East Yorkshire County BSPS Area 3a Show to be held at Stokesley Showground are hoping that the day will be the start of something special.
The show, which has been transferred to the new venue from Driffield, takes place on May 8 and will offer something for everyone.
There will be qualifying classes for the Royal International Horse Show in the show hunter pony, working hunter pony, intermediate SRT and piebald and skewbald sections.
The show will also feature qualifying classes for the Side Saddle Association and veteran classes, as well as the usual full range of BSPS classes.
The organisers will also run unaffiliated classes, which will include show jumping, working hunter ponies, Mountain and Moorland in-hand and ridden, plus ridden classes from hunters to lead rein and all combinations in between.
The supreme championships are sponsored by Supreme Show Products, but the show is also hoping to attract sponsors for classes, championships and rosettes. All donations and sponsorship enquiries should be directed to James Hunton and Anneliese Stonehouse at Brookside Farm, Little Ayton, Middlesbrough TS9 6HZ.
A number of trade stands will also be attending. Anyone who would like to book one or would like more details or a schedule should contact the show secretary, Mrs Janette B Hugill, at Manor House Farm, Great Busby, Stokesley, North Yorkshire TS9 7AT, tel 01642 712541.
For the unaffiliated section, contact Mrs Lyndsey Close, Partridge Nest Farm, Eskdaleside, Sleights, Whitby.
