Jack Grigg Memorial Cup: AFTER some unimpressive results recently, Lanchester Social Club finally got their act together again to breeze into the semi-final of the competition.
Standing in the way of the village side was Lintz Cricket Club who despite home advantage could not get a grip on Lanchester's prolific scoring striker Michael Pitt.
Pitt blasted himself a hat-trick in the 4-1 win with Stephen Boulter on the mark with the other while the Lintz consolation came courtesy of an own goal.
Stanley Aged Miners Cup
Leadgate Golden Lion produced a top drawer showing to reach yet another final appearance this season.
Standing in the way of the Lion were Sherburn Lambton Arms who went into the competition as the red-hot favourites to lift the trophy.
But two goals in the dying minutes ensured the final spot went the way of the Lion who continued their excellent season that has already seen them on course for a clean sweep of all the top domestic Consett Sunday League honours.
Andrew Thompson put the Lion in front only for the Durham & District League Premier Division leaders to draw level through Chris Nicholson.
But the day was to belong to Leadgate and in particular striker Mark Turner who scored on two occasions in the last five minutes to seal a 3-1 win.
Bev Haggett Cup
The final of the Bev Haggett Cup competition will feature old foes Stanley Royal and Pelton Fell WMC.
Class told in their semi-final when Stanley Royal crushed current high-flying South Moor Sports 8-1.
Mark Patterson led the goals charge with a hat-trick, there were two others for Mark Drake and Kraig Wilkinson with Kelvin Armstrong on target with the other while Michael Scott scored for the Moor.
The other semi-final between Grange Villa WMC and Pelton Fell WMC turned out to be a classic seven-goal derby thriller that could have gone either way.
It was the Fell who eventually clinched the 4-3 winner with the all deciding goal netted just two minutes from time.
The scorers for the Villa were two-goal were two-goal Jon Haley and Marc Ward with Andy Cuthbertson, Derek Willis, Ricky Stanton, and Paul McArdle the Fell's match winners.
Durham Hospitals Cup
THERE is still the possibility of an all Stanley Sunday League final in the Durham Hospitals' Cup.
However, Pelton Crown Inn saw their hopes of a last four showdown with league rivals Low Fell Jolly Miller disappear when they were beaten 5-2 at Ferryhill Surtees Dynamos.
Despite goals from Andy Norman and Gary Baker along with the man of the match display from midfielder David Copper, the Crown Inn went down fighting as they lost out 5-2.
The draw for the semi-finals - the date still to be arranged - is Shildon Elm Road WMC v Pelton Fell WMC, Low Fell Jolly Miller v Ferryhill Surtees Dynamos
Richardson Cup
In Group B of the Richardson Cup, Stanley RAFA were involved in a superb tie that eventually saw the sides share six goals and at the same time each claim their first group points.
The scorers for the RAFA were David Watson (2) and John Maughan with Low Fell responding through Mark Stevenson, Andrew Stephenson and Tom Cattnach.
The Group A tie between Felling Mulberry and Washington Oasis fell foul of the weather.
