STEVEN Carson helped end Hartlepool United's long unbeaten home run, and now the winger's sights are set on making Victoria Park an uncomfortable place for QPR tomorrow.
Former Rangers and Dundee United winger Carson played for Barnsley on Boxing Day, when the Tykes ended Pool's 29-game home run without defeat.
Now in a white and blue shirt, the winger could be part of the Pool side that takes on QPR in tomorrow's Division Two game of the day.
Carson impressed as a half-time substitute in last week's scrappy win at Colchester and admitted: "I've really enjoyed my time here and I've been impressed with everything. Training has been disrupted a bit because of the weather and that hasn't helped me to get match-fit.
"I was given a chance last week and I still don't feel 100 per cent yet - but it will come with time.
"I was given a decent chance last week and it wasn't something I was expecting. It will help me get towards where I want to be.
"We are on a little roll now and let's hope we can keep it going.
"I had 20 minutes or so against Blackpool and it wasn't my best 20 minutes of football - I hit a terrible cross over the stand and it was difficult to get involved.
"But I think last week I showed more of what I can do.''
Carson, who moved to Pool after his short-term Oakwell contract expired, could make his first start tomorrow.
He had a 120-minute run-out in the midweek reserve League Cup defeat at Sheffield Wednesday and added: "They are a great bunch of lads, from the gaffer and Martin Scott down, and the spirit is great.
"It has been a good time for the club, with three wins to lift us back up the table and I'm really happy for everyone.
"I've only been here a few weeks and a lot of the hard work has already been done before I came here.
"I played against the lads for Barnsley and although Barnsley won Hartlepool played well that day.
When the gaffer came in for me I already knew about Hartlepool and there is plenty to play for this season.''
Striker Paul Robinson played the full game on Wednesday as he recovers from a hamstring injury and could be on the bench.
QPR will set off this morning without a recognised goalkeeper. With their two keepers injured, boss Ian Holloway has until noon tomorrow to make a loan signing.
* Fans are advised to buy their tickets in advance. QPR have sold their near-1000 allocation and only a limited number of places remain for both the Town End and Cyril Knowles Stand.
