The Under-13s, sponsored by Digital Communication Systems, were in cup action at home against Richmond in their best game of the season. Albion took the lead half way through the first half with a goal from Phillip Caley before Richmond equalised after a defensive mix-up, and another goal mouth scramble saw Richmond take the lead.
Albion pressed home forcing a penalty when Caley was brought down, Michael Johnston scored the resulting spot-kick, going in at half time 2-2.
Fifteen minutes into the second half saw Albion lose a player but Albion relentlessly soaked the pressure that Richmond threw at them with the full time score ending 2-2. After no score in extra time the penalty shoot out provided Richmond access to the next round. The whole Albion team were awarded man of the match.
