YOUNGSTERS have been presenting the results of a five-week crime challenge.
Pupils at Easingwold School have produced posters and plays they have created during a project with Hambleton's Community Safety Challenge.
The 11 and 12-year-olds had been asked to consider crime and safety topics that affected them and their community.
They put the spotlight on a number of issues, including shoplifting and theft, drink and drugs, trespassing and vandalism, arson and hoax calls.
Helping them were representatives from the police, fire service, Victim Support, trading standards and several other groups.
The local Community Safety Partnership runs crime challenges with all the secondary schools in the district.
Community safety officer Alison Oldfield said: "The idea is to help pupils understand the consequences of crime."
