STAFF at a new cafe bar and restaurant in Chester-le-Street have been getting to grips with Grease songs, as well as learning how to pull pints.
The £1m Chicago Rock Cafe opens in the town this month, and each member of the bar and waiting team has been trained to dance to a variety of songs, including Greased Lightning, as well as serve refreshments.
Derek Simpson, the openings executive for Chicago Rock Cafe, said: "We have been putting them through their paces over the past couple of weeks with dance training, and there is a really good atmosphere amongst them.
"We are not asking them to be Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers, but the dance routines do add an element of fun which cannot be found at many cafe bars or restaurants of this type."
Luminar Leisure, the company behind the Front Street venue, has filled all 52 positions with locals after more than 160 applied.
