PUPILS from Belmont School, in Durham, have been taking part in a project linking music and computer technology.
Twenty-two year nine students have been working with professionals from Generator and focusing on developing their skills as DJs.
They have been using different sounds to create new musical works and learning how to cue, synchronise, fade and match beats as well as creative mixing and turntable re-mixing.
Youngsters at the school have also been working with Sage Music Centre and have been visited by two professional jazz musicians.
They have been helping pupils compose their own jazz scores.
