A TREE has been planted to mark the silver jubilee of the NHS Retirement Fellowship
It was planted in a courtyard of the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, this week, to celebrate the work of the group.
The Middlesbrough group, which has 90 members, looks after the welfare of retired health workers. It holds regular meetings and organises social events throughout a year.
Plym Auty, chairman of the group, said: "We wanted to donate a tree to celebrate the silver jubilee of the fellowship last year, but of course we always welcome new members.
"The meetings give former members of staff the opportunity to get together with friends they've made throughout their service life and perhaps make a few new ones along the way.''
