A CRICKET club is using grant money to set up an all-female XI.
Willington Cricket Club has entered the team in the Durham County Women's League next season.
Captain Sue Pringle, a qualified coach, and development officer Darren Brown, led a nets session at the Spectrum Leisure Complex and hope to run regular outdoor practices before the first match in May.
Players of all ages are welcome to join the sessions, part of a club's development plan funded by Sport England and National Lottery grants.
The club also runs junior coaching. Contact Mr Brown on (01388) 768068 for details.
