ENTREPRENEURS from North Yorkshire could be offered cash from County Hall if they come up with ideas to improve communities.
UnLtd, The Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, has linked up with the county council to secure a £250,000 grant from Europe to spend on schemes which will help develop villages.
"North Yorkshire County Council is delighted to have been instrumental in bringing significant investment into rural areas of North Yorkshire to develop social enterprise," said executive member for economic development, Councillor Carl Les.
UnLtd's regional director, Zulfiqar Ahmed, said: "This project aims to offer social entrepreneurs in North Yorkshire a real opportunity to create a more integrated economic and social infrastructure between farming and other rural businesses.
