Cleveland County's combined finals were held at Thornaby Indoor Bowls Centre last weekend.
Several well known players were successful in more than one event. Jackie Carson and Di Smart triumphed over June Allison and Sally Pass 26-9 in the ladies pairs and then teamed up with Sally Pass to also take the ladies triples 21-19 against Vi Mitcheson despite a spirited comeback of 15 shots by the Mitcheson rink. Jackie Carson registered her third win 22-7 in mixed pairs with Tom Addison over Ken and Barbera Lamb. Tom Addison with Inge and John Gillespie won 21-18 over Steve Slaughter in mixed triples and Inge pipped Sheila Moremon 21-16 in a tight fought ladies singles match and joined with Vi Mitcheson and Julie Robins to win the Seamer trophy 16-8 over Sheila Patterson.
Performance of the day though goes to Adrian Robins. With a walk over in the men's pairs already in the bag Adrian put in a great performance to win the men's singles 21-1 over John Gillespie and teamed up with his pairs partner Ralph Mitcheson and clubmate Ian Daniels to win the men's triples against Tom Addison 20-9 to complete the trio of wins.
