Police have arrested 22 peace protesters attempting to blockade an American spy base.
Hundreds of protesters decended on Menwith Hill, near Harrogate, from 4am this morning.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said 22 people had been arrested mainly for breach of the peace, although there had been some instances of criminal damage.
The protest is expected to last all day.
