A BAND has been so overwhelmed by the success of a music night in aid of Darlington Supporters' Trust that it is planning another gig.
Indie act Lifetime Skiver is also releasing a CD, called Like Me, in aid of the trust's crisis fund, set up after Darlington Football Club went into administration.
The band played a key role in setting up the sell-out Darlo Bands for Darlo Fans concert, which will be held at the Tap and Spile pub, in the town centre tonight. There are five acts on the bill.
Lifetime Skiver guitarist and singer Mike Cass said: "It has shown us how much people care about Darlo, so we are already looking at holding another night.
"We're season ticket holders and we got to thinking what it would be like on Saturday watching the results coming in at 4.45pm with no Darlo.
"This is also a good way of showcasing the local music scene, perhaps to football fans who may not be aware of what is around them."
Other bands performing tonight are The Off Beats, The Fray, The Clarkes Dales and acoustic singer Si Kelly.
CDs are on sale on the night, from the supporters' trust, or can be ordered by post.
Cheques for £3 should be made payable to Mike Cass, c/o 40 Hamsterley Street, Darlington, DL3 6QE
