A REDCAR pensioner won silver and bronze in the World Veteran's Championship in Stuttgart, Germany.
Last week, Jim Caddy, who has a treadmill in his sheltered accommodation at the Sir William Turner Almshouses in Kirkleatham, won silver in the 1,500m and bronze in the 3,000m races for 75 to 79-year-olds.
In February, he won two medals at the British Veterans' Indoor Athletic Championship in Cardiff.
The former ICI worker will now take part in the World Road Championship in New Zealand in April.
Angela Beadnall, from Middlesbrough, won gold in the four by 200m relay at the Stuttgart championships in the women's 40 to 44 years age group.
