PUPILS have had a glimpse of what is in store for the thousands of visitors expected at a £10m railway attraction due to open in autumn.
A group from Sunnydale School were the first members of the public to walk the full site at Locomotion: The National Railway Museum, in Shildon.
The students are taking part in a £15,000 Photo Positive project using photography, film and animation to chart the progress and construction of the centre before it opens at the end of September.
They took digital photographs during a guided tour of the site with artist Rachel Clarke, who has spent six months working with Sunnydale and three other Shildon schools Thornhill Primary, Timothy Hackworth Primary and St John's Primary.
Creative writer Suzanne Hunton and filmmaker and animator Sheryl Jenkins, have also helped to produce work for a temporary exhibition being housed in the centre
