TIME is running out for people to nominate their favourite clubs and coaches for the way they have promoted sport in the borough of Stockton.
Stockton Borough Council's sports development team is asking the public to complete a nomination form this week for people and clubs who they think have excelled by contributing to sport.
The categories for nomination are: coach, volunteer, club, disability and lifetime achievement.
The Stockton Club and Coach Awards 2004, which is run by the sports development team, will be held on Thursday, April 29, at the Northfield Specialist Sports College, Billingham.
The guests of honour will be Stockton Mayor, Councillor Ann Cains, and Paul Addison, sports editor of BBC Radio Cleveland.
Trevor Massey, the council's sports development officer, said: "This is a fantastic way for coaches and club organisers in the borough to gain the recognition they fully deserve for their efforts."
The nomination forms are available from Mr Massey and all forms must be completed and returned to him by Friday at Sports Development, 3rd floor, Kings-way House, West Precinct, Billingham, Stockton, TS23 2YS.
