MYTHS and folklore from North Yorkshire make up a new production by Harrogate Theatre's touring team, which goes on the road in May.
HT is working on Tales From the Dales, a dramatisation of some of the stories passed down by word-of-mouth for centuries.
"These tales will bring to life the extraordinary characters and events that have been whispered by the fireside for generations and account for the rich cultural traditions of the region," said director Steve Ansell.
The production follows last year's docudrama Silence of the Dales - a poignant look at the impact of the foot-and-mouth outbreak on Dales farms in 2001.
Tales From the Dales gets its debut at Harrogate Theatre during the 2004 Write On festival, on Tuesday, May 11, before touring in the Craven and Nidderdale districts later in the month.
