PUTTING the needs of other people before themselves are two 11-year-olds from the Hambleton area.
Ross Waters and Jordan Kitching are both pupils at Swainby and Potto Church of England Primary School, near Northallerton.
They are busy collecting items for a table top sale in support of Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Ross said yesterday: "This is not the first table top sale we have held.
"But we want it to be the biggest as we are leaving the primary school this year and we want to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan."
The sale will be held at Swainby church hall, on Saturday next week between 10am and 1pm and they are looking for all types of bric-a-brac and raffle prizes. There will also be a cake stall and tea and coffee will served. Anyone with donations or in need of more information can contact David Waters, on (01642) 701934, or Sandra Kitching, on (01642) 700041.
All proceeds and the entrance fee of £1, or 50p for pensioners and children, will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Relief.
