With the end of the season approaching fast, Derek Bell, Gateshead Football Club's Deputy Chairman is more optimistic than ever to a long and prosperous future for the club.
Derek Bell is confident that the first team will finish in the top 13 stating "With good results so far, the next three games are vital in ensuring we go some way to achieving our aims for this season".
The reserves are now in the semi finals in the league cup, and the intermediates are at present in the top three of the Durham Alliance League. Red Monkey PR, the agency recently appointed by Derek Bell, are actively seeking further involvement in the club through sponsors, investors, promotional partners and potential new Chairman, together with active community satisfaction.
This partnership aims to bring back the glory days for Gateshead Football Club. The support and commitment through a strong team of players, managers, coaches and fans will endeavor a bright future once again. The commitment from both players and those behind the scenes has been exemplary. Several changes to the present structure of the club have already been implemented. Alan Bell will take on the role of Assistant Manager of the First Team and Gordon Dunn and John Anderson have been appointed Managers of the Intermediates. Jamie Cummings has taken on the role of the Reserves Team Manager and Eric Tait continues in his role as coach for all teams Not only has the club taken on such changes with a positive outlook, Derek states his delight with the response from the players, "their dedication and commitment to the club has been second to none."
