Brandon United increased their lead at the top of the Premier Division to nine points from nearest rival Burnmoor Cricket Club, with a 6-0 away win at bottom club Fishburn WMC.
Chester Garden Farm Currently in the second relegation spot earned a point at Houghton Glendale in the 1-1 draw, Phil Oliver scoring for Glendale in the 48th minute.
Leaders in the First Division Es Winning McKenna's were without a game, so second placed Durham City WMC had the chance to make up ground on the leaders but were beaten 2-1 at Home by the much improved Lumley FC. Both sides had a man sent off, Paul Newman for Durham and Bob Larcombe for Lumley. Steve Roughley and Danny O'Hare scored for Lumley, with Nick Alexander replying for Durham.
Third-placed Chilton WMC were 4-1 winners at Belmont Sportsman's Arms. This was much closer than the scoreline suggests as Belmont had led until the 60th minute. They missed a couple of very good chances early on before Mark Surtees ran from his own half to beat the keeper on 25 minutes.
In the second half, Chilton scored two quick goals in the space of five minutes. Belmont then hit the woodwork for the second time in the match before two very late goals saw Chilton win 4-1.
Sunderland Lakeside earned a point in their relegation fight in the 3-3 draw with bottom club Hetton New Inn, Chris Blakeman hitting two and one from Paul Russell for the Lakeside with John Clayton, Dave Scott and John Richardson replying for the New Inn.
Ouston Red Lion are also in the relegation dogfight and lost ground as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Brandon Bay Horse. Andrew Graham and Dave Dickenson scored for the Bay Horse, Dave Hewson replying for the Lion.
Witton Gilbert WMC moved into fifth spot with a 6-3 home win over Coxhoe WMC. John Rooney hitting a hat-trick, Jason Manners two and Chris Lines one.
In the Second Division both leaders Kelloe Wmc and second-placed Washington Dunlop Tyres were without games so third-placed Newton Aycliffe Wmc made up Ground with a 4-1 home win over Bowburn Hare and Greyhound, Billy Swinburn hitting two and other goals from Andy Ryder and Ray Stanger. Paul Carr scored the Hare and Greyhounds' consolation goal. Gilesgate Moor Hotel moved into fourth spot with a 3-2 home win over Ferryhill WMC. Craig McManus scored two and Dave Edwards another for the Moor Hotel with Chris Dixon and Kevin Hodgson replying.
Newton Hall Jovial Monk look likely relegation candidates after losing 2-1 at New Herrington WMC, Darren Redd scoring both goals for New Herrington, Graeme Cole scoring for the Jovial Monk.
The Hare and Greyhound are one point behind in second bottom with two games in hand. Bottom club Washington Lambton lost 4-1 at Langley Park WMC.
In the third division Bearpark Wmc still have top spot, while second-placed Houghton Comrades closed the gap with a 3-0 home win over Belmont WMC. Gary Muncaster scoried all three. A goal each from Andy Johnson and Michael Fort gave Brandon Sports a 2-1 home win over Bede Lodge.
Shaw Moor Cricket Club edged out of the relegation zone with a 3-1 home win over bottom club Washington Honest Boy.
Washington Arms beat Pittington FC 6-0.
