Newfit Services Willington: Willington Cottles were hoping for a big win on their trip to Willington Club to boost their chances of landing the Championship.
However they were hard pressed to come away with an odd point success, which leaves them eleven points behind Byers Green Royal Oak and two behind Willington Lion and Unicorn, although Cottles do have a match in hand.
Willington Club only managed to take two singles points when Stephen Hutchinson and Joe Davies won, whilst Cottles had wins from Stephen Robinson, Jason Bone, Michael Richardson and John Barron. Scott Little and Joe Blakey took a doubles point for the home side, whilst Cottles went further ahead with doubles points from Brian Vayro with Jason Bone and Kenny Louth with John Barron. However the Club dented the visiting title chances when they took the double points from the team game.

Tow Law Coors
Brotherly love was forgotten during the final of the League Singles Championship when Kenneth Atkinson met Andrew Atkinson, both who play for Tow Law New Market A, at Esh McKennas. A high quality match resulted with Andrew just edging his way to take the title. In the semi-finals Andrew beat Dave Thompson of Newhouse Club, whilst Kenneth beat Alan Thompson of Tow Law New Market B.
The results of the quarter finals were Bob Peacock (Sunniside Comedian) lost to Dave Thompson (Newhouse Club); Michael Bell (Tow Law New Market B) lost to Andrew Atkinson (Tow Law New Market A); George Blakey (Billy Row Club) lost to Alan Thompson (Tow Law New Market B); Kenneth Atkinson (Tow Law New Market A) beat Ken Brown (Esh Stag's Head).
Crook Ladies League
A race for double one in the deciding team game settled the League Team Knock Out Cup Final and when Dawn Harrison finally nailed it her team, Crook Queen's Head A completed the League and Cup double, leaving opponents, Crook Jelly's Bar B as the runners-up in both competitions.
The results of the singles were (Jelly's Bar names first) Carrie Waller lost to Denise Nixon; Rose Clement beat Dawn Harrison; Norma Parkin beat Heidi Moses; Jackie Clark lost to Marion Hesp; June Barron lost to Margaret Stewart; Pam Barron lost to Dawn West. In the doubles June Barron and Rose Clement lost to Dawn Harrison and Marion Hesp, but Jackie Clark and Norma Parkin kept the match alive by beating Margaret Stewart and Dawn Lennon. However dawn Harrison clinched the title after the nail-biting team game to win 7-4.
Wear Valley Ladies League
Tracy Thompson hit 180 for Crook Royal Sun but just failed to help her team reach the finals of the League four-a-side competition when they went out by the odd point to Crook Bar 56. The other leading scorers in the competition were Abigail Hodgson with 140 for Byers Green Royal Oak, Stephanie Pinkney 140 for Crook Mill House, Kim Pritchard 134 and a 100 check-out for Crook Mill House, Diane Bromley 130 and Val Hope 120 for Crook Royal Sun.

The final games of the season saw Surtees B earn the final promotion place to division one. Belle Vue completed the double in clinching the first division dominoes title. Coach and Horses take the second division title after overhauling Royal George who had a bye.
