The weather played havoc with the fixtures for this weekend, three of the six first division matches were postponed.

DIVISION ONE

Bedale FC 2, New Marske SC 2

Bedale were looking to bounce back to winning ways after last week's home defeat by Hartlepool, and they got off to a good start when Paul Orton scored after only eight minutes. This remained the only goal of the first half. Ten minutes into the second half New Marske were on level terms when Gary Young scored his first of the season, a minute later James Smuk gave the visitors a 2-0 lead with his second of the season, but two minutes later Orton struck again to rescue a point for Bedale.

Fishburn Park 1, Thornaby YC 0

In the second half the Youth Club bombarded the Fishburn goal but failed to make any impression on the score line and in the 70th minute Fishburn broke and Paul Graham put Scott Clarkson through and he ran on to score his first for the club to wrap up all three points.

Stokesley SC 3, Richmond Town 1

Stokesley Sports Club took the lead after only 15 minutes when a Paul Aldridge ball over the top was held up in the wind deceiving the defender and Jonathan Tate ran round the back to head home the opening goal. The visitors drew level in the 33rd minute when Matthew Cimmerman brought down Adam Emson in the box, Emson scored from the penalty spot to take his tally for the season to 13. Five minutes into the second half a dominant Stokesley took the lead when James Middleditch was brought down in the box and got up to make it 2-1 from the penalty spot, five minutes later Stokesley took a 3-1 lead when a Tate cross from the right was headed into his own goal by Paul Carling. Andy Quinn who had been on the pitch only a couple of minutes could have put Stokesley further ahead but his chip over the keeper was held up by the wind and the keeper was able to get a hand onto the ball to save a possible goal.

R T RAINE TROPHY SEMI-FINAL

Dormans FC 5, Richmond Mvrks 2

Dormans FC reached their second final of the season after this win over Richmond Mavericks who after the opening half dozen matches were favourites with Dormans to be promoted, but runs in a number of cups, have fallen behind in League matches played. The opening half hour was very even but then Chris Fuller opened the scoring for Dormans, ten minutes later Wayne Gredziak pulled back to 1-1 and Dormans then were reduced to ten men when Fuller was sent off, half time 1-1. Five minutes into the second half the ten men of Dormans took the lead again when Richard Boden scored, James McGowan then struck twice in the 55th and 60th minute to make it 4-1 before Gredziak pulled a second back with his 20th of the season, but McGowan who is the second division leading goalscorer, secured his hat trick and a place in their second final with his 26th of the season.
