Stanley Royal returned to their best form with a bang when they recorded a crushing 9-0 win at South Moor. Mark Patterson led the way in the spree with a hat-trick and there were a couple each for Ian Watson and Mark Drake with David Turner and Kraig Wilkinson rounding off the scoring.
Pelton Fell WMC were at home in their derby clash with Pelton Crown Inn and the Fell can count themselves fortunate to have got away with a point in what ended up as 1-1 draw. It was the Crown who took the lead through man of the match Stephen Cameron before the Fell levelled it up with a Stephen Mullholland goal.
Richardsons Cup
In Group 'A', Washington Oasis were well beaten when they lost out 3-0 to closest rivals Felling Mulberry. Paul Wilkinson scored inside two minutes and then the Mulberry had to battle hard after that in the remainder of the first half to keep the Oasis at bay.
It was a different issue after the break as the Mulberry took control and scored twice more through Gary Harkness and Mark Smith to take a commanding lead in the group.
Stanley RAFA played Stanley Masons Arms Social Club and won 5-1 to move themselves four points clear at the top of Group 'B'.
John Maughan scored two of the RAFA's goal along with David Watson, Lewis Carr Slones and Chris Lowes while Marc Elliott hit back with the Masons' consolation goal.
