TONIGHT is the last chance to see a school stage transformed into a Chicago speakeasy.
Pupils at Lord Lawson of Beamish School, in Birtley, near Chester-le-Street, are performing Bugsy Malone.
Set in America during the 1930s prohibition era, a cast of 90, sing and dance classic numbers, backed by the school band.
Headteacher David Grigg said: "There are some fantastic performances from our pupils, from the year sevens, who have never been on stage before, to the older students, who are veterans of Lord Lawson productions.
"The cast, which seems like hundreds at times, have worked tirelessly since September on this and we would like to thank them for their continuing hard work."
The show starts at 7pm and tickets cost £3, £2 concessions. For more information, call the school on 0191-433 4026.
