AN exhibition on the life of the Vikings will take place at the Margrove Heritage Centre near Guisborough, on Wednesday, April 7.
Redcar re-enactment group, Anmod Dracan, is lending its costumes and artefacts, including a Viking tent and a large loom.
The centre's Easter programme features a decorated egg competition, with two drop-in sessions on Thursday, April 8, from 10am to noon and 1pm to 4pm.
The judging and prize presentation is on Sunday, April 18, at 2pm, with last entries accepted at midday.
If children are unable to attend the drop-in sessions, they can take along decorated hard-boiled eggs at any time up to judging day.
Other Easter holiday activities include:
Wednesday, April 7, 10am-noon, 1pm-3pm: Family learning activity which involves making a Chickadee card with a pop-up chick.
Easter Sunday, 11am, 1pm and 3pm starts for a race up the Beck Trail to find an Easter chick and claim a mini-egg prize.
Wednesday, April 14, 10am-noon, 1pm-3pm: Family learning activity to make a pop-up spotty frog.
Friday, April 16, drop in sessions from 10am to noon and 1pm to 4pm to make an Easter chick that rocks and pecks.
