THE first American Miniature Horse Association-sanctioned show in the UK - and only the second in Europe - is being held in Cleveland next month.
The spring show, organised by area two of the Miniature Horse Club of Great Britain, takes place at Newclose Farm, Norton, on April 11.
Jill Robinson, the British club president who is hosting the event, said: "We have invited a judge from Colorado to come over to judge for us. She is also judging the world championship show in Texas in October. We have entries from all over the UK and have also had enquiries from European members of our club.
"Miniature horses are a great crowd-puller. People who perhaps aren't particularly into big horses can identify with them. The club has a display team which has been invited to several county shows in the UK this summer to give demonstrations and also to display our horses."
