In the Kenny Ball Cup, Division II side Langley Park Rams Head were in tremendous form, they defeated Division I side Moor House 5-1 at home.

Kicking against the strong wind they not only contained Moor House but ended the first-half 1-0 up courtesy of a Kevin Chatterton goal. The restart saw the Rams dominating the game. Ray Dodds made it 2-0, Chatterton completed his hat-trick and Billy Carter put them 5-0 in the lead before an own goal by Kevin Moralee gave one to the visitors. In

The Alan Spedding Cup, Newton Aycliffe are through to the semi-final. they won 5-1 away to Wearmouth.

Division I leaders Consett lost 0-2 at home to Sedgefield, trailing 0-1 at the interval, they did most of the attacking after the restart but just could not find a way through Sedgefield's solid defence, a later breakaway saw Sedgefield grab a second goal and go through to the semi-final where they meet Newton Aycliffe.

In the Robson Pattison Cup, Ferryhill proved too strong for Norton-Stockton winning 4-0 at home. Goals from Gavin Liddle and David Stephenson gave them a 2-0 interval lead and Geoff Mason and Martin McQuaid's second half goals saw them run out 4-0 winners.

In The Echo Cup Crook Town defeated British Telecom 2-1 after extra time. Telecom scored first but David Neil quickly levelled and from then on it was end to end football with both sides going close. The second half followed a similar pattern but no goals came and extra time was necessary. The deadlock was broken in the second period when David Neil scored his second goal of the game to give Crook a hard earned 2-1 victory to go through to the Semi-Final.

In Division II, bottom of the league Darlington Railway continue their fight against relegation. They played exceptionally gaining a 2-2 draw with the leaders Gateshead Greencroft and with eight games still to play could possibly avoid the dreaded drop. Gateshead opened the scoring but Andy Scullion levelled shortly before half-time. the restart saw play swing form end to end. Five minutes from time Gateshead regained the lead but in a grandstand finish Mark Lawerence scored the equaliser for the Railway to end the match 2-2.

In Division III, Durham City Strollers won 2-1 at home against Hartlepool RNC and consequently probably made relegation a certainty for the 'Pools side. Pools opened the scoring through Brian Woodward but Thompson levelled and Graham scored the second half winner for the home side. West Cornforth are a peculiar side, they lost 3-7 at home to Houghton Cricket Club. They began in spectacular style dominating the opening period and went in a 2-0 lead courtesy of a brace from Tony Rowe, but then let Houghton back into the game to score twice and end the first half 2-2. Cornforth regained the lead but then they fell apart and Houghton took over scoring give more goals to end up 7-3 away winners.

In Division IV, the leaders Thornley Celtic slipped up by losing 1-0 at home to the third bottom side Winstons. Winstons took the lead when Aidan Hughes shot home a free kick from must outside the box, his low shot deceiving all. Once ahead Winstons defended in depth and Thornley could find no way through.

Trimdon Vets lost 0-2 at home to promotion conscious side Steels F.C who scored a goal in each half.
