A FURNITURE retailer has been causing a stir in North Yorkshire after displaying a range of unusual products on its forecourt.
Simply Dutch, at Leeming Bar, has used everything from knights on horseback to life-sized models of dinosaurs to catch the attention of passing motorists.
The marketing strategy was brought to the quiet Yorkshire village by new owner Jason Hadlow, who bought the business from Alfie and Susan Gilmore, who retired.
Simply Dutch is well-known for selling a range of products, from garden follies to antique beds, but the forecourt displays have added an extra dimension.
The company is best-known for its range of solid oak furniture. From intricately carved bedsteads to large dining suites, the oak furniture is all imported from Holland.
The business has a turnover of £1m.
