AUDITIONS are being held for parts in the musical Little Shop of Horrors.
Actors, singers and dancers aged eight to 25 are being urged to try out for the Dionysis Theatre Company's show, which will be staged at the Gala Theatre, Durham in August.
Workshops will be held around the region to ensure parts go to the best local performers.
The auditions will involve singing, dancing and demonstrating drama skills in three 40-minute sections.
The company also wants to hear from backstage crew aged from 16 to 25.
Dionysis secretary Denise Durkin said: "It is a North-East theatre group and the idea is to get children from across the region to get together to develop their talents.
"They get to experience working with different people and see how they get their ideas.
"The production itself gives them a wealth of experience in seeing how a professional theatre company operates."
Those interested will have to pay £5 to take part and a further £90 if they pass the audition, which will help to cover the cost of the production.
Auditions will be held in Darlington on April 5, Sunderland on April 6, Newcastle on April 7 and Durham on April 8.
