A STATELY home is offering a series of one-day art workshops tutored by a prize winning artist.
Ronald Falck is the artist in residence at Castle Howard, near Malton.
In the workshops Mr Falck will share his passion for art with students, who will get the chance to work with sculpture, oil, acrylic and watercolour.
Today's sculpture workshop will be based on the classical methods of producing maquettes, small studies or designs for larger, grander life size sculptures.
The Boar statue in the gardens at Castle Howard will be used as an example of Neo-Classical work.
This summer Mr Falck will hold a watercolour challenge open to all amateur painters.
The art workshops cost £20 and booking in advance is recommended. For more information call Mr Falck on (01262) 401334.
