MEMBERS of the North York Moors Chamber Orchestra will be touring the area over Easter.
The orchestra is made up of some of Britain's best young players, aged from 16 to 23, including students from music colleges and universities, as well as specialist music schools and sixth forms.
The group, founded by conductor Xenophon Kelsey ten years ago, will present two works - Mendelssohn's Octet for Strings and Stravinsky's Octet for Wind.
The tour begins at Emmanuel Church, Saltburn, east Cleveland, on Monday April 12, and then goes to St Hilda's RC Church, Whitby, on Tuesday, St Paul Parish Church, Pickering on Wednesday, St Mary's Priory, Old Malton, on Thursday, St Nicholas' Church, Guisborough, on Friday, and ends at St Oswald's Church, Sowerby, on Saturday, April 17.
The performances will start at 7.30pm.
Admission is £8 (£5 concession).
