DEVELOPERS have resubmitted plans for blocks of flats which originally attracted 540 letters of objection.
Residents had argued that the 20 two-storey flats at Wheatlands Farm, Redcar, would not blend in with the surrounding area.
The planning application was amended twice before it was finally refused by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council in January.
Now, Cleveland Housing Aid Trust has resubmitted an application to build two-storey blocks which it says will resemble semi-detached homes, but Councillor Mike Findley, speaking on behalf of a residents' action group against the proposed flats, said people were still not satisfied.
He said: "The residents' group would like it known that it is not going to be backing the revised homes plan.
"The group has seen the revised plans for four blocks of four flats and its members feel that they are still communal and nothing like the houses in the surrounding area.
"It should also be noted that the residents' group has never asked for blocks of four flats. That was a suggestion made by the planning committee."
Earlier this month, the trust's general manager, Harold Eddy, said the trust had tried to take residents' views on board.
He has lodged an appeal against the council's decision to refuse permission for the previous 20-flat application.
The new application will be considered by the council's planning committee.
